Boriana Bakaltcheva is a Managing Director and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank. She leads a team of experienced investment, credit, banking and financial planning professionals that surround ultra high net worth families with holistic advice and potential solutions around their complex wealth planning needs. Boriana’s objective is to listen to clients and in turn deliver the Private Bank platform as well as the vast resources of the broader enterprise in support of each client’s overall wealth strategy. With a particular personal acumen around structuring complex commercial credit solutions for clients, Boriana also engages with high net worth families around investment management, daily liquidity and banking needs, philanthropy, fine art services, business transition planning and multi-generational planning.
Prior to her current role, Boriana served families as a Private Client Manager and prior to that delivered commercial credit solutions to Private Bank clients in various capacities since 2007. She has over ten years of experience underwriting, structuring and closing highly customized commercial credit transactions ranging from investment real estate credit to unsecured to fine art credit to hedge fund and marketable securities credit for an array of complex wealth management clients and institutions.
Boriana earned an M.B.A. from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and a B.A. in Economics and German from the University of Virginia.
Boriana resides in Vienna, Virginia with her family, volunteers through Bank of America to deliver Better Money Habits financial literacy content to underserved populations and is an avid runner and skier.
