Alisha Thomson is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in Kansas City, Missouri. A caregiver at her core, Alisha sees wealth management as a calling to advocate for people and their stories, not just their accounts. Her passion is helping successful families in her community with wisdom and heart. Beyond wealth strategy, Alisha strives to provide stewardship, guidance, and authentic relationships that can flourish for generations.
By identifying a client's primary goals and needs, Alisha and her team coordinate local resources and the national capabilities of Bank of America Enterprise to help clients reach their objectives. Alisha leads a team of Bank of America Private Bank specialists who work in concert to design and implement tailored financial strategies in investment management, trust and estate planning services, liquidity event strategies, lending, and philanthropy.
Alisha has worked in wealth strategy for over a decade. Prior to joining Bank of America Private Bank, she served as a Senior Trust Officer at Mariner Trust Company and a Wealth Strategist at Country Club Bank, leveraging her experience and insight for the wealth strategy needs of high-net-worth individuals and families. Prior to joining Country Club Bank, Alisha spent time in the nonprofit sector as a Senior Director of Development with Great Plains SPCA, practiced law with Donna J. Jackson and Associates in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and was an oil and gas landman for T.S. Dudley Land Company, Inc. and Land Services, Inc.
Alisha obtained bachelor’s degrees in history and political science from Lincoln University. She also holds a master’s degree in business administration and her law degree from Oklahoma City University. Most recently, Alisha graduated with a Certificate in Financial Planning from Boston University.
Alisha currently serves on the board of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce’s Centurions Alumni Board, the Donald G. Chisolm Planned Giving Council for Children’s Mercy Hospital, and is an active member of League of Women Voters of Kansas City/Jackson-Clay-Platte Counties, the Missouri Bar Association, Kansas Bar Association, Oklahoma Bar Association, Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, the Kansas City chapter of the Financial Planning Association, and the Kansas City Estate Planning Society.
In her free time, Alisha enjoys volunteering and spending time with family, including husband, Lendsey, two young sons, Fleetwood and Rocco, and their senior rescue dog, Kiko. In 2022, Alisha was selected as a “Rising Star” by The Independent Magazine for her exceptional contributions to the Kansas City nonprofit community. More recently, she was selected by the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce to participate in the Centurions Leadership program, a two-year professional development opportunity, which she completed in the summer of 2024.
