Candace Wehr is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in Wilmington, North Carolina where she is directly responsible for providing clients with intensive analysis and tactical guidance in investment management, trust and estate planning, credit and banking, wealth structuring and philanthropy.
An integral part of her approach is to help build and enhance meaningful relationships with high-net-worth families, business owners, corporate executives and private foundations in North Carolina. Candace is passionate about understanding clients’ multifaceted financial priorities and examining both sides of their balance sheets, striving to help them address the entirety of their financial lives. With a blend of experience across legal and financial industries, she takes a consultative approach to connecting clients with the global resources of Bank of America Private Bank.
To aid her in addressing clients’ complex priorities, Candace leads a dedicated team of specialists to offer tailored strategies across multiple disciplines, including sophisticated credit and lending solutions, and trust and estate planning services to help families build a legacy for their future generations.
Candace has been with Bank of America Private Bank and its predecessor firms since 2008, formerly as a Senior Trust Officer. She began her career as an estate planning attorney in Chapel Hill, NC. Candace received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and earned a Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law. Candace does not provide legal advice in her role at Bank of America.
Active in her professional community, she serves as a Council Member for the North Carolina Bar Association Fiduciary Law and Estate Planning Section and is also a member of the New Hanover County Estate Planning Council. She enjoys volunteering with a variety of civic and philanthropic groups and spending time with her husband, Pete, and their two children.
