Sid Gulledge is a Managing Director and Private Client Advisor for Bank of America Private Bank. Sid works closely with nonprofits, executives, select entrepreneurs, and family offices to navigate complex financial situations and their impact on portfolio management, governance, risk management, trust and estate planning, lending, and pre/post transaction planning.
Sid believes in active listening and thoughtful engagement to gain a complete understanding of each client’s financial story. He finds this holistic approach enables him to develop comprehensive strategies that best serve his client’s long term objectives. Sid facilitates direct access to the strengths of Bank of America, presenting market views, and intellectual leadership that inform his guidance.
Previously Sid served as a Private Wealth Advisor at Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan with over a decade of experience providing wealth management and advisory services to select nonprofits, ultra-high net worth individuals, and family offices.
Prior to his career in finance, Sid served eight years as a Surface Warfare Officer and Search and Rescue Swimmer in the U.S. Navy, deploying twice to the Northern Arabian Gulf and once to South America. He received multiple military honors, including three Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals.
Sid is a native of Raleigh, North Carolina, and earned a B.S. from Duke University. He received an M.B.A. in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania as a McNulty Nonprofit Board Fellow. He served as Co-President of the Alumni Development Council for Duke University and is actively involved in Wharton’s Alumni Association.
An Eagle Scout, Sid embraces the tradition of service to the community. He was the recipient of the John Pope Eagle Scout Scholarship which he credits to forging his path to military service. Formerly, he was a board member of Urban Angels, a nonprofit focused on delivering food services to citizens in need. He was also a board member of Legacy Youth Tennis and Education, which uses the game of tennis to teach critical life skills to at-risk youth in the community. Outside of the office, Sid is an avid golfer, tennis player, and surfer.
