Drew Maldonado is a Managing Director and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in Florham Park, New Jersey. With more than three decades of financial industry experience, he utilizes his background in institutional and private client wealth management to offer sophisticated perspectives and strategic guidance to business owners, corporate executives, and families with generational wealth throughout the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area. To aid him in addressing clients’ often-unique situations, he leads a team of specialists with a depth of experience in investment management, wealth structuring, philanthropic opportunities, trust and estate planning services, and custom credit and lending solutions.
Prior to joining Bank of America Private Bank in 2022, Drew was a Principal and Senior Client Strategist for BNY Mellon Wealth Management. He led a team of financial professionals focused on understanding client goals and delivering comprehensive and customized solutions with respect to financial planning, estate planning, investment management, lending, and fiduciary services. Previously, he held institutional capital markets roles at Kidder, Peabody & Co., Pershing Trading Company, Fidelity Institutional Brokerage Group, and Merrill®, where he spent eight years identifying trading and liquidity strategies for various equity products while serving as a Managing Director for the Global Wealth & Retirement Solutions Group.
Drew earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Boston College. Drew is active in his community. He is an Executive Board member of the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey, a 900 member business association. Drew is a Board member of the Estate Planning Council of Northern New Jersey (EPCNNJ). This group promotes educational information about the changing laws and environment affecting Trust & Estate planning. He has been a five year Board member of The Summit Foundation, a public non-profit that identifies local needs and offers donors a flexible way to make a difference in the lives of their neighbors.
Drew and his wife, Caroline, have three adult children, Michael, Peter, and Sarah, and live in Summit, New Jersey. Community service is a priority for Drew, and in addition to coaching youth sports when his children were younger, he was named “Citizen of the Year” in 2018 by the Suburban Chamber of Commerce for raising public monies to complete the renovation of the Summit Community Center. Drew and his family belong to the Baltusrol Golf Club and the Beacon Hill Club, where he is a former board member. In his spare time, Drew enjoys playing golf and tennis.
