Known for his ability to listen beyond the numbers, he facilitates candid, forward-looking conversations that help families navigate the complexities of wealth with clarity and purpose.
As an Institutional Client Advisor, Marshall partners with endowments, foundations, and nonprofit organizations to design disciplined investment strategies that support their missions while meeting fiduciary obligations. His deep experience engaging with boards, investment committees, and mission-driven leadership teams has made him a sought-after thought partner to institutions navigating today’s challenging markets.
Marshall combines a legal background with nearly two decades of advisory experience, giving clients a unique perspective at the intersection of law, finance, and philanthropy. Before joining Bank of America, he practiced corporate law at McCarter & English, LLP, and Reed Smith, LLP, advising sophisticated clients on complex legal and financial matters.*
He holds a Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee University School of Law, where he was Lead Article Editor of the Journal of Civil Rights and Social Justice, and a bachelor’s degree from Bowdoin College, where he captained the lacrosse team.
Beyond his professional role, Marshall is a dedicated community leader. He serves on the boards of the Greater Newark LifeCamp, the Newark Museum of Art, and the Newark Boys & Girls Club, and he is actively engaged in advancing educational and cultural opportunities in New Jersey. A passionate coach, he also mentors youth athletes in hockey and lacrosse.
Marshall lives in Bernardsville, New Jersey, with his wife Kim and their three children.
