Patrick Ryan is a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager with Bank of America Private Bank in Melville, New York, serving the greater Tri-State area. Patrick works closely with an accomplished clientele, gaining a clear understanding of multiple facets of their wealth and designing customized investment strategies to pursue their objectives.
Patrick spends significant time with each client, discerning their priorities, risk tolerance, tax circumstances, and long-term intentions, integrating those parameters within his portfolio design. He brings a deep understanding of global equities, fixed income, and alternative investments, coupled with an ability to explain complex investment concepts in a relatable manner. Clients look to Patrick for his ability to synthesize market insights and anticipate trends to help them navigate economic shifts and mitigate risks. He is skilled in formulating tax-sensitive wealth transfer strategies for the rising generation, as well as ESG and sustainable investing strategies.
Patrick has more than 30 years of experience delivering investment advice for a sophisticated global clientele. Prior to joining Bank of America Private Bank, he was a Director and Client Portfolio Manager with Citi Private Bank. Earlier, he spent 26 years with Lazard Asset Management, where he was the Lead Portfolio Manager for the Lazard Global Equity Income Fund, a dividend-focused equity strategy.
A graduate of Columbia University, Patrick earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation and the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst® (CAIA®) designation.
Patrick is a long-time resident of Rockville Centre, Long Island, where he raised his two sons. In his free time, he enjoys kayaking and hiking.
