Leila Zahka is a Vice President and Trust Officer at Bank of America Private Bank in New York, New York.

In her role, Leila serves individuals and families in a fiduciary capacity, often across multiple generations. Her goal is to help clients articulate and document their long-term wealth and legacy goals, with an emphasis on trust and estates. Along with her Private Bank colleagues, Leila helps bring forward the resources of Bank of America to meet a client’s particular needs. Leila’s approach to helping clients manage their wealth is rooted in careful research and financial analysis, and she is ready to help families navigate emotionally charged issues by facilitating meetings as a neutral third party. From marriage, to blended families, to planning for the care of a loved one with special needs, to leaving your philanthropic legacy, Leila’s unique perspective and attention to detail will help ensure that what is important to you is addressed in your estate plan.    

Before joining the Trust organization to further focus her estate planning expertise, Leila was a Wealth Strategies Adviser for the Private Bank in New York City. Leila joined Bank of America Private Bank in 2019, after relocating from Boston, where she was a practicing attorney at the law firm of Bove & Langa. A graduate of Rodger Williams University with a bachelor’s degree in finance, she also received her J.D. from Northeastern University, School of Law. Leila has an LL.M. in Taxation and an Estate Planning Certification from Boston University. (Leila does not provide legal or tax advice in her role at the Private Bank.) Currently, Leila resides in New York City and is a member of the New York City Council for Estate Planning. She enjoys traveling and has been a certified scuba diver since 2004.
