Joel is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in Rochester, New York. Joel leads a team of private banking professionals, who in concert, facilitate tailored financial strategies based on each client’s unique set of goals and objectives. In market, Joel’s team consists of highly credentialed and seasoned partners within the fields of investment management, fiduciary and estate planning services, custom credit, liquidity event strategies, and philanthropy.
Prior to joining Bank of America in 2025, Joel served as a Senior Portfolio Manager with Wilmington Trust and was responsible for over $1 billion in assets under management. Over his 24-year tenure with Wilmington, Joel held several leadership positions including serving as the Senior Investment Advisor Lead for the Upstate/Western New York and Vermont regions. In this capacity, he managed a team of five Senior Portfolio Managers. In addition, Joel was the National Lead for Wilmington Trust’s Custom Indexing Equity Strategies. Given his portfolio management background, Joel’s knowledge regarding factors such as asset allocation, investment policy construction, tax efficiency and the optimization of expected risk and expected return, further complements the holistic expertise of his team.
Joel holds a Bachelor of Science from Ithaca College and an MBA from the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester.
Active in the community, Joel has previously served on the board of directors of Lifetime Incorporated as well as Coordinated Care Services Incorporated. Joel and his wife reside in Webster with their two children.
