He is actively involved with the Gloria Gemma Foundation of Rhode Island which supports families impacted by cancer. He also serves as a volunteer for Inner City Capital Connections and is a past board member of Communities United. Originally from Sturbridge, Massachusetts, Matt graduated with a B.A. from the University of Rhode Island with a focus on American history and English literature. He now resides in the Providence suburbs with his son, Charlie. When not working he can be most often found attending Newport Polo or at a Boston Red Sox game
