Stephen Ashworth is a Managing Director and Wealth Strategies Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in Providence, Rhode Island. Stephen coordinates the development, delivery, and implementation of innovative tax-oriented strategies and recommendations for high-net-worth individuals, corporate executives and families in the areas of wealth, estate, retirement and investment planning, as well as charitable giving. He provides tailored analysis and strategy to clients who have encountered significant complexity in the scale and structure of their wealth, enhancing the overall efficiency of their wealth across multiple contexts.
With more than two decades of experience, Stephen is adept in helping clients assess their options, prioritize their objectives, and capitalize on the opportunities at their disposal. He also collaborates with other specialists within the Private Bank, as well as a client’s external tax and legal advisors, to conduct periodic reviews to monitor progress and review investment solutions relative to market conditions.
Stephen joined Bank of America Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in 1998. Previously, he worked as an Investment Accountant at Allegis Realty Investors, LLC, where he was responsible for the preparation and audit of financial statements and investment performance calculations for real estate investment portfolios. He earned his B.A. in management of information systems from Eastern University. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional; he also holds the Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) and the Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP®) designations.
Stephen is a current member of the Institute of Certified Bankers and a current member and past president of the Estate Planning Council of Rhode Island. He is also a former board member and current volunteer for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, and a former committee member and current Conservator Society member of the Providence Public Library.
