John joined Bank of America Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in 2014 with three decades of experience in fixed income and equity capital institutional sales and trading. He has held several roles within the financial services industry, including managing director of institutional equity sales at Avondale Partners; vice president at Stephens, Inc.; and municipal bond and fixed income division partner at J.C. Bradford & Company. John earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Vanderbilt University, and his M.B.A. from its Owen Graduate School of Management.
John is a former board member of Operation StandDown Tennessee. He and his wife have lived in Nashville since they graduated from Vanderbilt. They have two grown sons, Jack, a surgical resident in Alabama, and Penn, a minor league baseball pitcher with the Seattle Mariners. Passionate about conservation issues, John is an avid outdoorsman, fisherman, and a member of the Econ Club of Nashville.
