Peggy Walker is a Managing Director and Private Client Manager at Bank of America Private Bank in San Antonio, Texas. Orchestrating a team of specialists and supported by the extensive resources of the global enterprise, Peggy addresses the distinct and often wide-ranging financial needs of non-profit organizations, private foundations, high-net-worth individuals and multigenerational families.
Peggy’s financial services career has spanned more than 40 years. Before joining the Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in 1998, Peggy served more than a decade in senior human resources roles within the firm, including that of Global Corporate Affirmative Action Manager for Bank of America. She also spent seven years with the Energy Banking Group.
Generous with her time and resources, Peggy serves on the executive committee as Endowment Campaign Co-Chair and on the board of trustees of The Witte Museum (formerly, as board chair). She serves a member of the United Way of San Antonio board of trustees, where she chairs the Successful Students Impact Council. Peggy is also a member of the University of Texas - San Antonio School of Science Advisory Council, the Rotary Club of San Antonio, the Charity Ball Association, the Battle of Flowers Association, and the San Antonio Planned Giving Council. In addition, she serves on the board of The Texas Business Hall of Fame Foundation.
The San Antonio Chamber of Commerce 2015 "Tribute to Women Business Leaders" recognized Peggy with the Hope Award for Volunteerism. Her prior board chair roles include Sunshine Cottage School for Deaf Children, San Antonio Youth Literacy, and San Antonio Education Partnership.
Peggy holds a bachelor’s degree from The University of Alabama, an MBA from Southern Methodist University, and the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® designation.
