Steve Gray is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in Portland, Oregon. He and his team of select specialists serve an ambitious clientele – business owners and corporate executives in technology, manufacturing and other sectors, real estate investors, and generations of wealthy families.

Since 1995, Steve has been motivated to build lasting relationships with clients. He has spent the entirety of his career working on a team to help high-net-worth individuals navigate the intricacies of investment management, asset preservation, liquidity events, intergenerational wealth planning and customized lending.

Steve is well versed on the needs of helping owners expand, sell and pass along their enterprise to family members. Beyond dollars and cents, Steve helps owners recognize the value of thinking about transitions sooner rather than later, to help them address personal considerations – for example, what they expect to do in retirement, what those years may look like, how they can manage sudden wealth, pass along wisdom to their children, and what a transition may mean to employees.

Before joining Bank of America Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in 2017, Steve served as a senior relationship manager and senior vice president with Key Private Bank. Steve began advising high-net-worth clients at KeyBank in 1995. From 2002 to 2005, he served as senior vice president and private banking manager at Bank of the Northwest. Steve holds a B.B.A. in general finance from the University of Oregon.

Steve serves on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of Junior Achievement of Oregon and SW Washington. In addition, he has taught classes through Financial Beginnings and is currently serving as a teacher/mentor with at-risk youth through Junior Achievement. Steve has also worked with youth through Portland Leadership Foundation, Young Life and has coached youth basketball and baseball teams over the years. Recently, he has been teaching financial literacy to families going through transitional housing with Family Promise. Steve enjoys hiking, road biking, playing golf and travel. Steve and his wife, Marylu, have three children and seven grandchildren.
