Steven Solecki is a Private Client Advisor at Bank of America Private Bank in Greater Connecticut. In this role, he is especially dedicated to families, business owner clients, entrepreneurs and corporate C-suite level officers, thanks to his many years of service with Bank of America’s business banking team.

He takes a client-centric approach, examining what clients need to accomplish and how his team can help make that happen. He believes that each relationship has their own unique story, and consequently will require solutions tailored to their individual path to success. Steve actively listens to clients, working to become their trusted advisor, engaging with their needs and forming long-term relationships.

Steve has a rich network of skilled professionals in other businesses within the bank whom he can call on to help address specific client needs, including tax minimization, estate planning, sale or transfer of a business or legacy planning. He also enjoys strong relationships with a local network of professionals outside Bank of America, and is known in his local Connecticut markets, having spent his growing up years and most of his professional career in the state.  

Prior to joining the Private Bank, Steve spent over 20 years in leadership roles in Bank of America’s Business Banking team. During those years he had many experiences through which he developed multiple skills which he now brings to clients. He serviced and managed a commercial lending and deposit portfolio with aggregate assets in excess of $1 billion; performed detailed research and analysis on multiple topics; monitored the relationship between the sales team and risk & compliance; and participated on project teams for new sales processes and products, while providing coaching on these initiatives to the regional sales force within the bank.

Steve has a BS degree in Finance from the University of Connecticut at Storrs, and an MBA degree from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT. He also holds an Advanced Certificate from the Pacific Coast Banking School, University of Washington
 
Steve is a dedicated and active volunteer in his home state. He’s engaged with the New Haven School System’s Read Aloud Program, Habitat for Humanity and the Smilow Cancer Center – Yale New Haven Hospital System Closer to Free Bike Ride. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the United Way of Greater New Haven and served on their Finance Committee since 2020 as well as he is a member of the Board of Directors of Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.  Steve is also the Chairperson of Bank of America’s Connecticut Military Support and Assistance Group.
