Tony Gonzalez is a Senior Vice President and a Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank, in San Jose, California. He works with high-net-worth individuals, families, institutions, and business owners throughout Silicon Valley who have diverse backgrounds and complex wealth management needs. He takes time to understand what is unique and important to the client before he crafts a tailored plan to advance their short-term and long-term goals. He combines the client experience of a boutique private bank with access to extensive resources such as digital banking to help improve the financial lives of his clients.
Tony serves as the client's dedicated advisor and he is supported by a local team which includes a highly credentialed Wealth Strategist, Portfolio Manager, Client Manager, Trust Officer, and other specialists to suit client's specific priorities. We serve as the client's fiduciary applying the highest standards of care and acting solely in the client's best interest. The Wealth Strategist provides guidance about family trust, tax, estate planning, transfer of wealth, and private philanthropy. The Portfolio Manager provides ongoing performance-based investment consultation leveraging our robust research from our Chief Investment Office while helping to ensure it reflects the client's unique objectives and is integrated into their overall wealth strategy. The Private Client Manager offers a broad range of sophisticated credit and banking solutions designed to meet complex client needs, cash management, custom lending (fine art, aviation, or yacht), real estate financing (investment and owner-occupied properties) and specialty asset management (commercial and residential real estate). Drawing on his years of experience in financial services, Tony also helps business owners navigate key crossroads in the growth and development of their enterprises – in sync with their personal wealth strategies. He offers support to business owners and their heirs by supporting liquidity events, strategic planning, corporate governance, and successions planning.
Throughout Tony’s tenure, he has a strong track record for “putting his clients first” and he knows that integrity and transparency are critical to building the trust of his clients. He is also bilingual in Spanish to help the Hispanic Latino community as well. Prior to his role with the Private Bank, Tony worked in the company’s Consumer Retail Banking, Preferred Small Business Banking, and Global Business Banking divisions supporting Silicon Valley and the Greater Bay Area. The relationships he nurtured with colleagues during this time have enabled him to evolve as a trusted and valued advisor to deliver the depth and breadth of the bank's solutions to help his clients reach their goals.
Tony earned his MBA from Lucas Graduate School of Business at San Jose State University.
Tony is an active member of his community and a champion for diversity and inclusion. He currently serves as the chair of Silicon Valley Hispanic Latino Business Council (HLBC) within Bank of America, which is dedicated to improving economic mobility for the community. He champions financial education seminars in the community via the bank's Better Money Habits® curriculum. He currently serves as a board member of the Latino Education Advancement Foundation (LEAF), which helps connect disadvantaged youth with education assistance and support programs. He is also a board member of Second Harvest of Silicon Valley, focused on addressing food insecurity and helping to end hunger in the community by serving approximately 450,000 people every month.
