Trent Pauls is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in Houston, Texas. He takes great satisfaction in his ability to manage complex and strategic relationships with high-net-worth individuals and families with generational wealth, helping them advance their financial objectives with a directed planning-based approach. To aid him in addressing their dynamic situations, he leads and collaborates with a tenured team of dedicated specialists with deep experience in investment management, trust and estate planning, business succession planning, wealth structuring, pre- and post-liquidity-event planning, customized credit and lending solutions, and philanthropic opportunities.
Trent and his team have experience helping entrepreneurs, corporate executives, family offices and endowments simplify the complexities of significant wealth and bring order and meaning to their financial lives. He enjoys having a front-row seat to hear his clients’ stories, learn about their family dynamics, and help execute a plan toward their unique goals.
Before joining Bank of America Private Bank, Trent spent several years as a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones and Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in Austin, Texas. Throughout his career at Merrill®, he also served as a regional leader, managing a team of 30 Financial Advisors throughout Houston.
Born and raised in Kansas, Trent earned his bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University. He and his wife currently live in Houston with their dog. The couple enjoys traveling, exploring restaurants, and fine wine. An avid outdoorsman, Trent enjoys duck hunting, running, playing golf, and live music. With a passion for giving back, Trent is a founding member and former co-chair of the Austin Associate Board of Ambassadors, a young professional group raising funds for the American Cancer Society through its annual “Fork Cancer” event. Today, he is a member of The Houston Young Professionals for the American Cancer Society—helping raise funds through its annual “Shuck Cancer Houston” event. Additionally, Trent serves as a committee member of Bank of America’s Leadership, Education, Advocacy and Development (LEAD) employee network.
