Tris Eddy is a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Bank of America Private Bank in Boston, Massachusetts. Drawing on more than two decades of portfolio management experience, he welcomes the opportunity to help a select group of high-net-worth clients and families with generational wealth design and implement customized investment portfolios that align with their unique objectives, time horizon, and risk tolerance. He also concentrates his efforts working with charities, endowments, and irrevocable trusts.

Over the course of his career, Tris has navigated varied economic environments and offers technical insights and a seasoned perspective on changing market conditions. He prides himself on serving as a proactive resource during periods of market volatility, helping clients avoid emotional decision-making and grounding their approach in a disciplined process and long-term perspective.

His highly personalized approach begins by spending a significant amount of time discerning each client’s distinctive circumstances to craft investment strategies that reflect their goals, objectives, time horizon, and risk tolerance. A skilled communicator, Tris can clearly articulate the nuances of varied investment offerings, helping clients make informed decisions about the implementation of their investments.

Prior to joining Bank of America and its legacy banks in 2000, Tris was a financial advisor with PaineWebber Private Client Group in Boston. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in business from Northeastern University and is a graduate of the American Banking Association’s (ABA) National Trust School at Northwestern University and the ABA’s National Graduate Trust School at Emory University. Additionally, he is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) certificant.

Tris and his wife reside on the south shore of Massachusetts where he was born and raised. The couple has three children and in his spare time, Tris enjoys a wide variety of water activities including sailing, boating, fishing, swimming and scuba diving. He currently serves on the board of trustees for Sailors Snug Harbor of Boston, an organization dedicated to helping fishing families and elders in coastal communities of Massachusetts.
