Wendy Battleson is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Advisor with Bank of America Private Bank in New York, New York.  Wendy provides sustained leadership, advice, and coordination to an accomplished clientele, helping them deploy their wealth  more thoughtfully and strategically. She offers extensive knowledge of the art and luxury markets, enabling clients to combine  their passion for collecting with an appreciation for the opportunities these asset classes can provide.

Deeply experienced in fine art, wine, watches, jewelry, and classic automobiles, Wendy understands the relational dynamics posed  by these markets. She supports clients in navigating the acquisition financeing, curation, intergenerational transfer, or sale of these assets,  incorporating the knowledge of Private Bank specialists, as well as a strong network within the art auction and collecting worlds.  Keenly attuned to each client’s interests and aspirations, Wendy develops close relationships with clients and their families,  helping them evaluate their wealth within the framework of their investment objectives, lending needs, philanthropic interests,  and family dynamics.

Prior to joining Bank of America Private Bank, Wendy was the Principal of Art Strategy Partners, a consultancy to high-net-worth  individuals, family offices, private equity firms, hedge funds, and institutions, where she oversaw collection management, art  acquisitions and divestments, art finance, legacy planning, art due diligence, business structuring, and art negotiations. Earlier in her career,  Wendy spent more than nine years with Christie’s auction house in New York, London, and Hong Kong, where she served as Head  of Art Finance and Head of Art Transactions. Wendy’s experience also includes two years as Senior Counsel to Cendant  Corporation in New York and six years with RE/MAX Europe, where she was a Managing Director based in Zurich, Switzerland.

Wendy has worked in financial services since 1996. She earned her B.S. in political science and economics, with honors, from  James Madison University and her J.D. from the George Mason University School of Law. She is a member of the bar in New York,  New Jersey, and Virginia.

A frequent speaker on art collecting, art finance, and the intersection of art and law, Wendy has served as a faculty member in Art,  Business and Law at Christie’s Education and for the New York State Bar. In her free time, she enjoys playing golf, skiing,  traveling, and spending time with her daughter, Evelyn.
