Wendy Gatlin is a Managing Director and Wealth Strategies Advisor at Bank of America Private Bank in Greensboro, North Carolina. She designs and delivers innovative tax-oriented estate, charitable giving, financial and investment planning strategies for a diverse group of wealthy families and individuals, including business owners, C-suite executives and trust beneficiaries. Wendy offers thoughtful guidance on pre-sale planning and business succession, executive compensation, concentrated stock positions, and various trust strategies. She takes a team approach, coordinating with other professional advisors to help clients achieve their wealth management goals.  

Wendy began working with the Private Bank (formerly U.S. Trust) in 2001, as an independent tax consultant in the Planned Giving Group. She joined the Bank as a Wealth Strategist in 2003. Previously she worked internationally, providing U.S. and international income tax planning and preparation services to American citizens living and working abroad. Earlier in her career, Wendy was a corporate tax accountant focused on income tax compliance, preparation and planning for a group of domestic subsidiaries, joint ventures and partnerships. (She does not provide tax advice in her role at the Private Bank.)

Wendy earned her B.S. degree in finance and international business from the University of Maryland at College Park and her M.S. degree in taxation from The George Washington University. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.

Active in the community, Wendy serves on the finance committees for the United Way of Greater Greensboro, the Greensboro Montessori School, Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro and WellSpring LifePlan Community where she is also on the Board of Trustees. She is member of the Greensboro Estate Planning Council.
