Professional Profile

Zahira (Zyda) Martinez is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Manager with Bank of America Private Bank in Newport Beach, California. She works primarily with high-net-worth clients — successful business owners, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, professionals (e.g., physicians and attorneys), recent retirees, people in transition, and individuals and their families—who understand the value of having access to more than two decades of the often-complex financial experience that Zyda can offer to her Private Bank clients. Working together with a team of Private Bank specialists, they design and implement customized financial strategies in areas such as investment management, trust and estate planning services, liquidity event strategies, credit and lending, banking and deposits, and private philanthropy.

Zyda is a “people person” who strives to develop deep relationships with clients and families, and encourages them to reciprocate. She is continually seeking ways to identify and pursue clients’ best interests, searching for opportunities that might help make their financial lives less challenging. Zyda brings tremendous knowledge to the table with her strong credit background and underwriting credit skill. Zyda believes that the Private Bank’s team approach to working with clients, combined with its extensive lines of business, is unmatched in the industry.

Prior to joining the Private Bank in 2019, Zyda served as a senior private banker with Wells Fargo-The Private Bank, followed by a position as a managing director at First Republic Bank.

In her out-of-office activities, Zyda is an active participant in the Laguna Beach chapter of the National Charity League, a mother-daughter organization that focuses on philanthropy. Most recently, she served for two years as a board member. Zyda loves to travel with her family, practice yoga, cook, and walk her dog.
